Nagant Revolver
This is one of the most unique revolver designs of all time. When you cock a Nagant you notice two things. One is a firing pin on the hammer the size of a railroad spike. The other is that the cylinder actually moved forward and mates up to the breech end of the barrel. This movement creates a gas seal, which increases muzzle velocity greatly.
The other thing the Nagant revolver is known for, is that it probably was used by Soviet Commisars to shoot more reluctant Soviet soldiers than to shoot enemy combatants.
